**If you chose to participate in our current Home Equity Line-of-Credit Plan Promotion, Eglin FCU will pay closing costs for bona-fide third party fees (except for an appraisal or costs associated with a purchase/deed) up to $3,000. Member agrees to reimburse Eglin Federal Credit Union for the bona-fide third party fees paid if the Plan is closed within 36-months of the loan origination date. A minimum advance of $5,000 will be required at closing with this promotion.

Maximum Loan Amounts & Restrictions - Home Equity Line of Credit

All applicants must be a member of Eglin FCU.
Loans from $5,000 to $200,000.
Must be a primary residence and owner-occupied.
Must be a single-family residence home (Not available on townhomes, mobile homes, or condominiums).
Available for first or second mortgages (Only one Eglin FCU Home Equity Line-of-Credit is permitted on the subject property at any given time).
Subject property must be located in one of the following Florida counties: Okaloosa, Escambia, Santa Rosa, Walton, Bay, Holmes, or Washington.
Must have a current homeowner’s insurance policy that covers the replacement cost of all improvements.
If the subject property is located in a flood zone, flood insurance will be required. A flood determination will be ordered through our third-party service provider.
Subject to credit/underwriting approval.
Subject to loan-to-value. Loan-to-value is determined by 80% of the appraised value, or in some cases 100% of the tax-assessed value, minus the outstanding balance of the first mortgage. If an appraisal is required, an appraisal deposit (maximum $500) will be collected prior to ordering the appraisal.
Must have clear title prior to closing/funding the loan. If there are any liens in second position, those liens would have to be satisfied or subordinated in order to secure this loan.
Our HELOCs have a 10-year draw period followed by a 20-year repayment period.
Consult a tax advisor regarding the deductibility of interest on this loan.

Terms & Conditions - SAFE Loan

Your Eglin FCU account must be in good standing and have been opened for at least 30 days.
You must be with your current employer for at least two months.
Your payroll must be direct deposited to your Eglin FCU account.
The loan amount is limited to ½ of your monthly pay or $500, whichever is less.
You must bring in your most current pay statement to establish a SAFE loan.
Payments can be made automatically by transfer.
You can only have one SAFE Loan at a time. Your SAFE Loan must be paid off before applying for another loan.
Members are required to complete the BALANCE Money Management Counseling course prior to receiving their second SAFE Loan of each calendar year. To enroll in the course, call 888.456.2227. This course is not offered online.
Only four SAFE Loans are allowed during one calendar year.
Minimum payment is $25 weekly or $50 bi-weekly/semi-monthly or $100 monthly.
Payments are due on each payday.

Terms & Conditions - Savings Assistance Loan

Must be an Eglin FCU member and 18 years of age or older to establish a Savings Assistance Loan.
SAL proceeds are deposited into member's share suffix 1, these shares will be used to secure this loan.
The entire deposit will be on hold until the SAL is paid in full.
Members may have only one SAL at a time.
Maximum loan amount is $2,000.
Monthly minimum repayment is a percentage of the amount borrowed or $35 per month.
